Vanessa is a compassionate, hands-on leader with over 25 years’ experience in health and social care. She is deeply committed to creating safe, supportive environments where residents feel truly at home and colleagues feel valued and inspired.
Her career in care began in supported living services, working with young adults experiencing mental health challenges. It was here that she developed her strong belief in person-centred care, dignity, and empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives.
Vanessa went on to work within the NHS as a Nursing Assistant across A&E, hospital wards and secure mental health units, gaining invaluable experience in complex and demanding settings. She later progressed into Home Manager roles, supporting adults with mental health needs and Huntington’s disease, where she built strong teams focused on delivering consistently high standards of care.
Having joined the organisation in 2006 as Deputy Manager, Vanessa has grown with the group and now serves as Nominated Individual and Executive Director.
She provides strategic leadership and oversight across all services, ensuring quality, compliance and continuous improvement — always placing the wellbeing of residents at the centre of every decision.
Vanessa holds NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care, alongside Business and Marketing qualifications. She believes that strong leadership is built on visibility, integrity and leading by example.
