A relaxed & homely environment
The West Gate, formerly known as The Hockeredge, is a modern home providing restful nursing and residential care for those with dementia and mental health illness. Our home offers a warm and caring environment, with a reputation for high standards of care, accommodation and catering of which we are justifiably proud.
The West Gate is conveniently located a five minute walk away from the small coastal town of Westgate-on-Sea and offers easy access to shops, cafes, cinema, library and churches, as well as the sea-front gardens, promenade walks and safe beaches of Margate.
Family and friends are always welcome, and visits
by prospective clients are encouraged.

The service has a structured and experienced management team that includes two Registered Managers, a Clinical Lead, a Trainee Head of Care, and supervisors across all departments.
Alongside this experienced and skilled team, our director’s team provides daily support to ensure the home is always well-led.
